The Story behind the Charity
This is a benefit-tournament. All proceeds will go to support seminarians in the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas and the Diocese of Kansas City-St Joseph in memory of Matty Molnar and Jared Cheek. Matty and Jared were seminarians for the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas that were killed in a car accident in 2005. The young adult community was severly affected by their death 5 years ago and their memory is not forgotten. We know that if Matty were still alive he would be a huge supporter of young adult ministry since he was actively involved in it before his death. We also know that Jared was a sports fans and he would have been a supporter of CCS and an event like this.
